Autobiography of Learning

​In this section I will address the relevant educational and experiential learning that have impacted the way I view learning and teaching. Pre-college Educational Experiences

What experiences have you had (mentoring, work in camp, jobs, classes in middle or high school, experiences from childhood or family life, sports, teachers, etc) inform your desire to teach and/or how you plan to teach / your pedagogical commitments?

Major and Subject Preparation

Particular examples of readings, assignments, and/or experiences from individual courses you have completed for your major or the area in which you are seeking certification and how they have prepared you to teach your subject matter

Teaching Preparation

Overview/list/representation of professional preparation courses (Critical Issues in Education, Educational Psychology, education electives) you have completed and how they have, as a group and a sequence of experiences, prepared you to teach.

Pedagogy Philosophy

A consideration of the variety of Learning Theories and Educational Philosophies we discuss. Be sure to quote directly and demonstrate knowledge of relevant theories you explore and to indicate which of these (and what aspects of each) you plan to draw from?
